14 Great Ideas that combined deliver what the title promises

2 years into our real estate endeavors, we moved to a more affordable and family oriented city in Riverside county. Not knowing anyone, or how to get our business going - we blindly followed the advice our our broker, their coaches, and any one else who made promises of making it big. After watching my wife deal with the rejections day in and day out in the form of door slams, hang ups, being cursed out on the phone which literally brought her tears, As a husband and protector - I said THERE's has to be a better way!
For 8 years since, I have been searching for that way. I have gone outside the RE industry to learn how to Attract customers rather than chase them. To attract buyers and sellers that would be honest and respectful - and through hard work and Our Lord's blessings we have been moderately successful. But I never could figure out why we never achieved the level of success that the Mega Agents in our area were experiencing... Honestly, we were always a step behind! It wasn't until I got my copy of Defeat Mega-Agents that I realized that our business strategies were weak and built on sand. We had no solid point of differentiation! I mean how hard is to duplicate this: learn a script, knock on a door, make a phone call. Yes we have fancy schmansy website that looked different, but behind it all it's all the same - and they are much better at it than we are.( Maybe because we hate doing those things)
So in my search, I came across Ryan Fletcher's book. Man, I could not put it down. He gives 14 SOLID points of differentiation. Trust me when I tell you they are NOT EASY to do. Damn it! I wish they were. Who doesn't want a quick fix right? But here is the good news - because the strategies are not easy to do, they are hard to replicate! So this makes them true forms of differentiation. This gives us a competitive advantage or the other agents.
Here's the GOLD MINE! While he provides 14 independent ideas that are powerful on their own, when combined, they create a synergistic compound effect that can take down the Mega-Agents. The author definitely over-delivered on his promise.
I got so much from my first read, and feel like there is probably a ton of value that I missed - so it's on my weekend schedule to re-read 2,3 and 4 times at least! This book has given me what I have been searching for 8 years; Hope and a More Fulfilling way of doing business.
I want to recommend this book for any agent that wants an honest chance at competing with the Mega Agents in your area.

This Book Is Not For Everyone…

This book is not for everyone…For the agents out there looking for some sort of “get rich quick” way of doing real estate by using the “perfect” scripts, presentations, or any of the other so called “traditional” ways of doing real estate, don’t spend your money on this book! Instead do what I did…go out and pick any number of “Guru” programs out there, pay anywhere from a few hundred to thousands of dollars to learn the same old techniques that are taught to thousands of agents every day.
This is the path I chose, I have been through them all...and they all pretty much teach the same thing… Prospecting is your job…Cold-Call…Every No is Closer to a Yes…Door Knock…Call Expireds…Call FSBOs…Call your SOI…Script Practice…Smile and Dial…Do a Mega Open House…Hand out 20 Business Cards a Day…Tell Yourself “I’m a Great Salesperson”…Send Items of Value…Fake It Till You Make It…in other words…Be a Pest…Annoy People…Beg for Business…Be a “Salesperson!”
If this is the way you want to do business…more power to you…
But…If you’re like me and every time you hear another Script or am told to be a “Salesperson” you think to yourself “this is bulls***! There has to be a better way,” you’re in the right place.
Here’s the deal…none of the stuff the Gurus are teaching resonate with the core of my character. I believe in Trust, Authority, and Integrity…and…to the Guru party I’m just another failure who doesn’t have what it takes to be successful because I refuse to continue to follow in their ways!
When I first read Defeat Mega Agents I couldn’t put it down. I read, highlighted, tabbed, and dissected it. It was truly an enlightening experience…to know that there is another way…a way to be seen not as a salesperson but as a “Someone.” The strategies in this book are not easy! If you’re looking for the easy path to success this is not it.
This book is for real estate agents who want to be more than just “Real Estate Agents!”
Thanks to Ryan Fletcher my path has now been changed for the better and I am becoming more than just another “Salesperson.”

WARNING! This book will make you think! I mean, really think!

If you are into just following the herd without wondering where the leader is taking you, this life challenging book may be too much for you. On the other hand, I assure you, it will make you think and it could change your aimless spoon-fed life into one of being a true entrepreneur! Ryan is challenging, speaks the truth, dares to put into print what we all have thought for years but were afraid to say out loud for fear of the Gurus we allow to control our life. Defeat mega-Agents gives the reader who chooses to apply its teachings to their lives, a new sense of purpose and self worth. You won't "get it" with one reading but it won't be long and this book will be full of highlighting, dog-eared pages, and personal notes. DO NOT PASS THIS ONE UP!
