Very Interesting theory

As someone who was stuck in the middle of the 60's who took LSD quite a lot sometimes wondering where it came from I found this book long overdue. Dr. Roth's theories are spot on with my symptoms which I have always thought were just mental problems. Be brave and read about yourself if you took LSD during the 60's especially because it was much more potent than later. I have sent this author my story in the hopes of clearing up some questions I have about how LSD might have affected me. A very enlightening read.

A Lifesaver

What Dr. Roth characterizes as the post-LSD syndrome is an incredibly severe condition that affects a number of people who take LSD. The condition is marked by constant overwhelming anxiety, thought disorders, and severe sleep disturbance. I can say from personal knowledge that it can transform someone who is healthy and "normal" into someone who is, for all practical purposes, incapacitated--potentially for life. Practically over night, completing school, maintaining a job, and having normal social relationships are suddenly out of reach. Unfortunately, most mental health professionals, even when they see the symptoms and know of prior LSD use, neither recognize the connection nor know how to treat it. For those who have this condition, this book is a true lifesaver. As Dr. Roth explains, the bad news is that this is a severe condition, but the good news is that there is a very effective treatment. That is exactly what I witnessed and the various case studies that Dr. Roth describes show how quickly and effectively the condition can be treated when it is correctly diagnosed. The book is a real contribution in an area that has received far too little attention.
